Peace is the Umpire

Have you ever had to make a big decision and felt torn in every direction? Been there. More than once. But over the years, I’ve learned something simple—but powerful:

If it doesn’t come with peace, it’s probably not from God. Peace isn’t just a feeling. It’s confirmation.

Colossians 3:15 (NLT) says, “Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts.” That word “rule” in the original Greek means to act as an umpire. In other words, peace makes the call. Safe. Out. Go. Wait.

So if you’re wrestling with a decision right now—don’t just follow pressure, opinions, or fear. Follow peace.

And if you don’t feel peace? Don’t force the move. Wait on God. He’s not late. He’s just setting the stage for your good.

Let peace call the shots. You’ll be glad you did.
